The Sherman County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff. Applicants must be a US citizen, be 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions, be of good moral character, have a valid driver's license, and be in good physical condition. Candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays. Nebraska certification is preferred. All applicants must pass a background check prior to an offer of employment. Benefits include individual health insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, take home patrol vehicle, county retirement program, uniform allowance.
