Certified law enforcement officers may be given a higher starting wage at the discretion of the Sheriff.

Qualifications: High school graduate or G.E.D.; no conviction of a felony; valid driver's license; must be 21 years old when graduating the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center; U.S. Citizen upon completion of basic training.

Applicants who meet minimum qualifications listed on the application will be scheduled for a written test. Testing will be conducted on Thursday, February 6th, Friday, February 7th, and Saturday, February 8th, 2020. (You may only test one time during this recruitment period). Applicants testing will receive a study guide and testing information prior to the test date chosen by picking them up at the Sheriff's Office. Applications must be completed electronically. Salary: $25.12 - $35.58 per hour
