Basic Certification Course

The Training Center conducts a Fifteen-week basic course. The course is open to individuals who meet the required admission criteria. The basic course curriculum is based on the Police Standards Advisory Council (PSAC) approved state-wide law enforcement job task analysis which was completed in 2019. The training program is a physically and mentally challenging program that incorporates a blend of on-line learning, classroom instruction and hands-on skill development. The course is designed to allow the successful graduate to assume entry-level law enforcement duties, although many agencies will conduct additional field training for new hires.
